Meta(-)Juego is an idea I have in my head since high school, a sort of mix between the dynamics of manga and traditional tabletop role-playing games with a unique emphasis on gameplay mechanics revealed through the adventure - player stats, item presentation through character's use and other narrative tricks only possible in a sequential narrative medium - specifically webcomics.
I think webcomics have yet to reach its potential as a storytelling device (most of the current artists weren't initially exposed to the masters of the comics/manga medium, and so their ability to tell a story or exploit the mediums' possibilities is ridiculously limited).
Sure, you have the ocassional comic pro working on it, but these are people used to splash and horizontal layouts rather than to scroll-down, vertical storytelling, a method worth exploring for modern times and mobile consumption. M(-)J was created specifically with the goal of showing said capabilities in order to bring to life a unique world inhabited with its own rules.
